My name is Jeremy Durrin. I am a United States based profesional road and cyclocross racer. I live in Westhampton, Mass., with my wife, Gabriella Durrin. I have been moving up the ranks over the past few years and am really looking forward to having the freedom of running my own program with my wife this year.
I first got into cycling in my last year of high school. I am from Fitchburg MA where the NRC Fitchburg Longsjo took place. I had a couple friends who were in the race, so I watched it for the first time and got hooked. Since I would not be pursuing my golf and baseball dreams, I needed a new sport to keep me in shape. I grew up playing golf and running around the baseball field, so cycling was quite a bit different. I got into it rather quickly and won my first race!
Once I moved out to Amherst to finish my finance degree at UMass Amherst, I was connected with Jeremy Powers and we got to talking and he helped me get started with putting me in touch with my coach, Al Donahue. Since then I have progressed every year.
Running a program with my wife, Gabby, is a dream come true. She has been a true professional for many years, so being along side her on a professionally run cyclocross program is the best thing to happen to us. We met through cyclocross racing 3 years ago when she needed host housing in New England, and we have not been apart much since, except for when our governments make it actually IMPOSSIBLE to be together!
Follow along as we start this exciting endeavor together!
